Genergy team at the 2019 Genergy Woodridge Trail Run
The Genergy team spirit overcame the early morning set up and the uncertain weather to have a super fun 2019 Genergy Woodridge run.
Woodridge College and Preparatory School showed off its wonderful grounds and new solar installation.
Big O Sports ran a smooth event. Genergy added to the spirit with great supporting and most of the team taking part in the 6km. Francois Janse van Rensburg and Waldo Dreyer braved the 14km which is no small accomplishment considering the trails.
Enrico Jacobus was the first Genergy runner to cross the 6km line and tenth overall.
Kevin Luiters and Cody Brown kept it jovial and brought up the rear.
Genergy supplied a lively finish line for all the contestants with partners and kids getting in on the action. The weather looked threatening a few times in the day but it did nothing to dampen the smiles.
Genergy gave away almost 300 Spekboom trees, on condition that they must be planted.
The Spekboom is considered one of the world’s best carbon capturing plant.
Genergy is also about awareness. We hope that our very visible solar installation and the Spekbooms give away make people that much more aware of their footprint because every footprint counts!
Thank you to the Genergy team for bringing your smiles and enthusiasm. A great business starts with a great team.
