Genergy employs a dynamic team of innovative and experienced personnel. It ranges from procurement specialists to a variety of engineers. This team facilitates the in-house feasibility studies, design and simulation, procurement, installation, commissioning, and operations and maintenance of our PV installations around the country.

Our History

Genergy was launched in 2008, when founder Terry Billson became an early adopter of what was then a fledgling industry in South Africa. He was joined by Andrew Jensen and Astrid Forbes. Together, they identified renewables and more specifically solar as a future oriented intervention for the security of the energy supply, and a tool for industry decarbonisation, cost savings and sustainability.

Over 15 years later, their optimism holds true as the solar industry continues to grow on a global scale. As part of a rapidly developing industry, Genergy strives to adapt to new technological and regulatory developments as they come into being. With comprehensive experience spanning solar water heating and solar photovoltaics, Genergy has a proven track record of high performing system design and installation execution.
