This grid-tied system was installed for Milprops as part of their solar portfolio and is one of four shopping centres that Genergy installed for them in 2023. This system consists of 1 400 solar panels and 6 inverters. 770 kWp grid-tied PV system, generating 1310 MWh/annum, saving approximately 1306,71 metric tons of CO2 per year. The expected generation is equal to 368 average South African households’ annual electricity usage. The CO₂ emissions offset is equal to 5 205 319 km driven by a standard passenger car or 106 407 km flown by a Boeing 737 A coal-fired power station would need about 664 tons of coal to generate the same amount of electricity.
