This grid-tied system was installed at a dairy processing plant and was financed by Next Renewable Generation, whose aim is to increase the electricity produced in South Africa from renewable resources. The system consists of 3 254 solar panels and 16 inverters, with generator integration. A 1171.44 kWp, 1000 kVA grid-tied PV System producing 1.71GWh/annum, saving approximately 1749 metric tons of CO2 per year.
